What is Sand Control?

In many oil and gas wells, formation sand and fine particles are produced along with the flow of hydrocarbons. These materials accumulate in the wellbore, ultimately blocking production and causing wear through erosion and corrosion on surface equipment.


Langrange Engineering’s sand control solutions include the installation of a cylindrical screen from the packer to the base of the perforations, with frac sand carefully injected between this screen and the production casing.
